Julie Greenslade, who was the County RFU's administrative officer, has taken over the top job at the Hampshire RFU, replacing previous incumbent Garry Doherty who was also a G&F RFC member when he became Executive Director.

Julie (pictured) is one of the very few women in charge of English rugby's constituent bodies in the RFU (Rugby Football Union) set up.

Prior to joining HRFU, Julie worked as Learning Support Assistant/ Librarian/IT Support at Elson Infant School in Gosport for 18 years, before a career change first took her to Hampshire RFU in August 2015.

Said Julie; "I am naturally delighted with my appointment and am excited and privileged to be the first female Executive Director in Hampshire rugby.

"I look forward to helping the development of Hampshire rugby from a more prominent role and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the confidence they have shown in me."
