Joe Batley made a welcome return to Gosport Park to help out with coaching by taking a session writes Brian Seeney.

The former Gloucester forward who has now moved to Championship promotion favourites Bristol, took charge of the Gos forwards for an evening.

"It was great to have an offer from a professional player like Joe to come back to his roots to take a session and pass on some of his knowledge," said Gos Head Coach Barry Bridgman.

"When Joe offered I jumped at the chance for him to join in.

" I asked for a line out session and he delivered.

"Joe has given the boys a professional slant on some of our line out techniques and we should be better this season."
