As the Under 14s build towards their first Cup match of the season, they achieved a notable win in a full squad session beating last year’s U13’s County Cup winners Tottonians 57-38 last Sunday.
It was the first real test of the Ravens' progress and despite the win, there is still work to be done, especially in defence.
Sam Rushent was rightly awarded Man of the Match for his all-round contribution to game. Ben Wheeler scored six tries and carried hard all day.
Other tries by Harry Freeman, Owen Harper and Harry Rabjohn added to the score card with six out of nine converted by Harry Rabjohn.

Under 13's: The Saxons were away to Romsey where in a closely contest game they won 35-30.
Under 16's: Havant came to Gosport Park to face the U16s Berserkers who stepped up to mark with a 25-0 win.
Tries from Josh Harper, Sam, Layton Chamber and Ishak Welsh saw them dominate the game.
Rushent added a penalty and three conversions as well.
The scoreline was deceptive as it was a contest throughout the game that was well managed by the Academy Referee Team
