Our Colts' section offers coaching and competitive rugby to players of all abilities aged 16-Under 18 years old at start of each season - many go on to play for our senior teams.
The Colts play in the Hampshire Colts League 2.
Over the years, our Colts players have represented Hampshire at U17s, U18s, School and Divisional levels and England trial levels.
We are very proud to have played a part in the development of Joe Batley who has represented England at U18 and U20 and is now on an Academy player with Gloucester Rugby.
Our dedicated and professional coaches follow the guidelines set out by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and the Hampshire Rugby Football Union.
All coaches and assistants areare DBS cleared - The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance is a process of establishing identity and checking against records held by the police, health and education departments to prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
Training is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, in conjunction with the 1st team squad, arriving at 6.30pm for a 7pm start and generally lasts for about two hours.
Match day kick-off time is normally 2pm (on Sundays) with information and details being announced in advance. If there is no match then a training session is held.
We welcome players of all standards including those new to the game, so please come along or contact one of the Management/Coaching staff for more information - details can be found under Club Contacts
