Under 16 Festival lined up for 2010

Our Under 16 Rugby Festival takes place on 28 March 2010 and clubs are now invited to apply to send a squad of up to 22 players to take part.

There are places for the first 16 teams that confirm their participation by Friday, 4 September 2009.

Festival organiser John Palmer says it would "greatly assist us" if clubs could confirm participation well before that date if possible.

"If there are places left after the final registration date clubs may be able to bring a second squad but we will not know that until later in the year."

To enter, teams/clubs should complete and send the registration form me with a cheque for £35 (registration fee) made out to ‘Gosport and Fareham RFC Ltd' with your club's name on the back.

"Once we know who will be taking part, we will send out a team pack containing the club briefing, tournament rules, referees' briefing, team list, pool draws and timetable for the day and details for parking arrangements and directions to Gosport Park.

Each club taking part must bring a First Aider and a qualified referee for the U16 age group with them. The club will make arrangements for additional first aid and medical cover.
