Au revoir Marc
By Brian Seeney
"I really have enjoyed playing (here) because I was a bit afraid of arriving for six months and joining a team and not being able to be integrated and enjoy my time playing rugby in England," said the 23-year-old French centre .
"But I have really enjoyed myself and everybody here has considered me a normal player and I have been really happy playing in the first team.
"I am sorry to be going back (to France) because it has been my best season ever for rugby and I won't be able to finish the season which is a shame.
"I have to do my last semester at the University of Technology in Troyes and I am going to play Uni rugby with them. It is going to be fun until the summer.
"I have really enjoyed the tradition and the way English men go to rugby and support their team because that is the normal way of life here and it is not the case in the north of France and in Normandy.
"I will miss the atmosphere, the game and the supporters. I really enjoyed being here and the 100% involvement of everybody.
"I will be telling everyone about Gosport & Fareham and maybe another French player will come over here like I did."
Marc was presented with a club tie by player/coach Jamie Daly as a parting gift.
